Welcome from TSTA-AE President

Let me be the first to thank you for your interest in the Texas State Teachers Association-Student Program, or most commonly known as TSTA-SP. TSTA-SP, which is affiliated with the National Education Association, is a strong organization with a chapter located in almost every College & University in Texas. TSTA-SP is not only known for who we are, but what we do.

TSTA-SP chapters are known across the state for going out and helping their neighboring communities. Book drives, school projects, and donations are just some of the things we do. We believe that public school students are our future, which is why we do everything in our power to help them out in every way possible. Not only do we help school students, but we promote public education in the State of Texas. With workshops and professional development, we prepare our members to take on problems that they will come across in public education.

By joining TSTA-SP, you are choosing to take part of one of the most influential organizations in the State of Texas and a community of like minded individuals who have the same goal in mind. I invite you to help us make a better tomorrow for our students, teachers, and public education.

I encourage you to explore the following websites and take advantage of the many opportunities that await you as a member of TSTA-SP:

  • www.tsta.org:  information about the Texas State Teachers Association
  • www.nea.org:  information about the National Education Association, the largest organization for teachers in the nation
