Another Bad Bill set for a hearing

On Monday, the House Government Efficiency & Reform Committee will hear House Bill 33 by Rep. Sid Miller, which would create a program diverting tax dollars to a private school voucher program. The bill has a very misleading title, which claims it would provide for “efficient government resource allocation.” In truth, it would rob under-funded public schools of tax revenue. For those wishing to testify against the bill, the hearing will begin at 3 p.m. Monday or upon adjournment of the House in Room E2.012 in the state Capitol extension.
