Chapter 37: your right to a safe school environment
Many educators and support personnel have complaints regarding discipline issues. Teachers feel that they have no authority to rid their classroom of chronic discipline problems. Support personnel fear that their jobs will be jeopardized if they are ever in a situation that requires them to use physical force.
What happens if your campus is reconstituted?
If a campus is identified as academically unacceptable for two consecutive school years, including the current year, the Commissioner of Education must order the campus to be reconstituted and appoint a campus intervention team (CIT). The CIT will decide which educators may be retained at the campus.
